“APA is responsible for Austin being a “no-kill” city. I volunteered there a little bit walking dogs when I first moved to Austin and everyone I met there was really driven and focused on taking care of the dogs and finding them homes. My fiance Liz and I got our dogs Daisy and Hannah from Austin Pets Alive. And while I have never met the CEO personally, A close friend of mine worked under her for several years and could not speak more highly of Dr. Ellen Jefferson or the organization.” – Chris McQueen
